The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 993 Made in USA ‘Sage’ is drawn from the ‘Performance Art’ collection, representing the fourth installment in the collaborative series from the creative partners hailing from Chicago and Boston. Originally released in 2008, the 993 dons a grey mesh with upper with muted green suede overlays and a tonal reflective ‘N’ logo. Cut-out detailing in the back heel reveals ‘JFG’ branding superimposed on a stars-and-stripes graphic. A darker shade of green is applied to the ABZORB midsole, featuring a proprietary foam compound offering a balance of cushioning and responsiveness.
Originally introduced in 2008, the 993 combined elements of the two previous 99X series models, the 991 and 992, into one, streamlined design, and fine-tuned the ABZORB midsole cushioning. The technical sophistication of the Made in USA 993 features a mesh upper in classic core colors overlaid with premium suede, atop a dual color midsole.
